Ready, Set, Design workshop with Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum educators

Our friends at Cooper-Hewitt (the amazing Monica and Marianna) led an awesome hands-on workshop for MOUSE Corps on 11/22/2011.  Students learned some of the core concepts in design and innovation, and practiced their new skills in the “Ready, Set, Design” challenge (brainstorming and rapid prototyping activity).

Students designed GPS headsets and way-finding wrist-watches.  This activity is great practice for their Legacy Projects, where they’ll use actual observations and interviews to look for authentic, human-centered design opportunities for the blind and partially-sighted.
