Northrop Grumman Blog post #3

Aside from learning about my mentors’ job experiences, I also got to learn some things about engineering. Tom used to be an aerospace engineer and later became a mechanical engineer, so he has quite the expertise in the engineering field. He talked about a couple different types of engineering such as mechanical, aerospace, nuclear, electrical, computer, and chemical engineering. Mechanical engineers work with the design and manufacturing a whole array of things, such as ships or buildings. Aerospace engineers deal with airplanes and other types of aircraft. Nuclear engineers work at nuclear reactors and facilities by exploring the potential of nuclear fission and fusion. Electrical engineers are in charge of providing us with electricity and making sure they get to our homes safely. Computer engineers focus on the design of computers. Chemical engineers make sure that certain chemicals are appropriately used to create products such as water bottles.
