I was able to intern at Storefront Science for two weeks. It’s a Science Summer Camp that teaches kids about different aspects of Science like Biology or Engineering. I was in charge of helping to facilitate the kids, making sure that they pay attention to the lessons/participated in activities. We would have the kids do various activities like going out to the park to observe wildlife and observe and write about it, or learn the different types of bridges and have the kids make a scaled model of the Brooklyn Bridge, among other things. It was definitely a learning experience, I was able to help kids learn and understand science. It just makes me more excited to know that I am one step closer to becoming a professor!
